About Marilyn DeBlock

Marilyn DeBlock I am a retired lady with a past history of Benefits Administration in Human Resources. Since I have had an interest in photography for a long time, I often took photos of various events for our company's newspaper such as annual service award dinners, holiday employee party, annual picnic and other employee-related activities. I also joined a local photography club back in the 1980's and enjoyed meeting others with the same interests and competing in our monthly competitions as well as the New Jersey State Fair photo competitions where I won a First Place and People's Choice award. Now that I am retired, I have a lot more time for photography and enjoy taking photos of flowers, butterflies/insects on flowers, nature, scenic, family and pet photography. I started a little business back in 2010 called "Picture This" Photo Greeting Cards and More (which is also the name of my business facebook page). I have sold photo greetings cards in a few local stores in Williamsburg, Providence Forge and West Point, Virginia. I am now a great grandmother to three little great grand daughters, a great grandson and another great grandson on the way (April, 2024) so have been enjoying time spent photographing all of them. I was also so pleased when my granddaughter asked me to photograph her wedding in October (2018). As a child and teen I also enjoyed painting and drawing and won a few art contests during my school years. As an adult I also got into ceramics and won several awards at our county fair over the years. Many friends would order specific ceramic pieces such as Christmas Trees and Halloween items, and I often made gift items for family and friends. These days, though, it is photography that keeps me busy! I hope you will take the time to view my photos!
