One day a few years ago, I was out in my yard tending to my gardens when I suddenly noticed this female, dark form, Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly sipping nectar from my hummingbird feeder. Of course I had to quickly run into my house to grab my camera in hopes she would still be there. I love the colorful feeder against the green pines in my yard.
