Description
I love Jaguars and their hood ornaments. I recently took this photo at an imported car show in Williamsburg, Virginia, and decided to get a little carried away with my post processing. I think the added red-orange colors and fiery appearance give it a feeling of strength and aggressiveness.
"The jaguar, a graceful and powerful big cat, has been revered by many cultures for centuries. The jaguarโs image has been used in art, literature, and advertising. Jaguars are also popular mascots for sports teams and businesses. The jaguar has been associated with luxury and power, and its image has been used to sell everything from cars to cigarettes. But in recent years, the jaguar has fallen out of favor with many companies and organizations. The reason? The jaguarโs image is now seen as outdated and even tacky. So when did jaguar stop using hood ornaments? The answer isnโt clear. Some sources say that jaguar stopped using hood ornaments in the early 2000s, while others claim that the practice continued into the 2010s. However, it seems that the use of jaguar hood ornaments began to decline in the early 2000s, and by the 2010s, they were no longer commonly used. So why did jaguar stop using hood ornaments? There are a few possible explanations. First, the jaguarโs image may have become too closely associated with luxury and status symbols. In a post-recession world, many people are now more interested in practicality than ostentation. Second, the jaguarโs image may have become too closely associated with a particular era or style. In a rapidly changing world, companies and organizations often want to distance themselves from dated images. Whatever the reason, the jaguarโs days as a hood ornament are likely numbered. But the jaguar will always be remembered as a symbol of luxury, power, and grace."
