Description
A pretty Blue Jay sits contentedly on a snowy branch in my yard - Providence Forge, Virginia.
Blue Jays are fairly large birds and prefer wooded areas with oak trees as acorns are part of their diets. They are also seen around neighborhood bird feeders often bulling other smaller songbirds. A recent fact I learned about Blue Jays is that they mate for life and help build the nests with their partner and also feed her while she is tending to their eggs. Their life span is about 7 years.
