A lovely male Eastern Blue Bird stretches his wings as he perches on my wash line in Providence Forge, Virginia. He and his mate use these bars as a landing spot prior to flying directly into their bird house to care for their young. They have been coming back to this spot in my yard for about 10 years. I did have to buy a new bird house this year and hung it right where the other house had been.

I am a retired lady with a past history of Benefits Administration in Human Resources. Since I have had an interest in photography for a long time, I often took photos of various events for our company's newspaper such as annual service award dinners, holiday employee party, annual picnic and other employee-related activities.
